How to delete your QuoteAloud account

QuoteAloud is an app for trade businesses: you describe a job out loud and it drafts the quote. An account is created when you first sign in with Google or with an email address.

You can delete that account, and the data attached to it, in two ways.

1. From inside the app (the fast way)

• Step 1: Open QuoteAloud.
• Step 2: Open Settings — tap the round account button (your business initials) at the top of any tab.
• Step 3: Scroll to the account section and tap Delete account.
• Step 4: Read what the confirmation says, then tap Delete everything.

It takes a few seconds and needs a working internet connection.

If you have not signed in for a long time, you may be asked to sign in once more before it finishes. Your data is already deleted at that point; signing in again lets the app remove the sign-in account itself.

2. By email (if you no longer have the app)

Write to support@quotealoud.com from the email address you signed in with, and ask for your account to be deleted. We will delete it within 30 days — usually much sooner — and reply to confirm.

If you signed in with Google, write from that Google address: it is how we can tell that the request is yours.

What gets deleted

On our server:

• your account record — the account identifier, your plan, and the dates kept with it;
• every monthly usage counter — how many voice quotes you used, and how many seconds of audio;
• every problem report about an AI draft that you sent.

Your sign-in account with Firebase Authentication, which is what held your email address and name.

On the phone you delete from, immediately and permanently, everything filed under that account:

• your business profile, logo and payment details;
• your price list;
• every customer, quote, invoice, payment and expense;
• every job, with its photos and signatures.

What is kept, and why

• Crash reports. If the app ever crashed, Google's Firebase Crashlytics may hold a crash report. It is not linked to your account, contains no business data, and is deleted on Google's own schedule.
• Your Android backup. If Android backed up the app to your own Google account, that backup is yours and under your control — we never had it and cannot delete it. To remove it, delete it in your phone's backup settings or in Google Drive.
• Another phone. If you signed in with the same account on a second phone, the data on that phone stays until you delete the account there or uninstall the app.
• Google Play's records. This version of the app sells nothing. If you ever made a purchase in a future version, Google Play keeps its own record of it for its tax and refund obligations; we cannot delete that.
• Subscriptions. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. This version has none; if a later version offers one and you subscribed, cancel it in Google Play → Subscriptions.
• Request logs. Our server's short technical logs (account id, audio length, which model ran, whether it worked — never audio or text) are deleted automatically by Cloudflare after a few days.

What we never stored

• Your recordings. Audio is processed in memory to draft the quote and is never written to storage or logged.
• Your transcripts. Returned to your phone, never stored or logged by us.
• Your customers, quotes and invoices. These live in a database on your phone.
• Card or bank details. The app takes no payments.

Before you delete

Share or save any quote, invoice or job report PDF you still need — after deletion there is nothing left in the app to export.

Uninstalling the app is not the same as deleting your account: it removes the data on the phone, but leaves your account and its server data until you delete the account or ask us to.
